Therapist was more interested in my money than mental well being

Nicole is one of the best Psychologists I have ever seen. Even though I now live in Victoria I still have sessions with her via video chat. She has strongth empathy to her clients and is very experienced with a wide range of mental health issues. She is understanding and easily helps you understand your issues whilst giving you the tools you need to overcome them. Her offcie is extremely comfortable and her therapy dpg is gorgeous and loves to lie with you which is of great comfort. I 100% recommend this clinic and Nicole, i can't say where I would be now without her help.

I am a local psychologist that has seen a few of Nicole's clients over the years. At times Nicole has referred them because I offer EMDR and this has been suited to the client. I have heard positive feedback about Nicole's work with these clients and they have worked with her to build a good therapeutic relationship. Psychologists cannot be everything to everyone and it important that they know when a different approach may help a client more. This good judgement is exactly what Nicole embodies. Sometimes being referred can trigger feelings of rejection in people and maybe there was something we could have done better to mitigate that but most times this process goes pretty well.

Nicole is always a delight to work with. Handles delicate relationship issues with ease and helps you feel at home.

Very disappointed in this service I went through all the correct channels and jumped through all the hoops and made a booking with a psychologist who openly claims to be one of the top 3 psychologists in Perth, to deal with the grief and loss that I am experiencing at the moment I was more then capable and fully prepared to pay the entire private fees for what was supposed to be one of the top 3 psychologists in Perth.I received an automated text message stating that the psychologist who I hadn’t even seen or spoken to yet will not be seeing me because of a 10 question yes or no questionare about my childhood and parents and the things they did. I tried to call the service for more information 4 times with no call back I left messages with my number stated clearly twice in each message and have not received a callback. At first I thought it must just be an automatic thing a psychologist of all people would obviously know that my childhood does not define me, a GOOD psychologist would know that anyway. So I emailed explaining that I would like to be reconsidered as I’m not seeking the services for my childhood I’m seeking the services to deal with the grief I’m going through now and to implement better cognitive behaviour and the response I got was that Nicole’s screening processes mean she will not see me, and based on my “specific needs” an alternative psychologist was suggested by Nicole’s admin team to be a better option and low and behold a cheaper one? In all honesty the complete lack of explanation from the service and the fact they won’t return my calls makes me believe that based on my childhood they’ve decided I might not be able to pay their fees so would rather not even bother. The fact is i knew I had a lot of bad history and I knew it would be daunting for any psychologist to handle which is why I went for Nicole I thoroughly researched her specialties and conferred with my gp over whether she could potentially be an appropriate match and we both agreed it seemed like she would be the most suitable psychologist for me to try first with the hope being that her being one of the top 3 psychologists in Perth I might get lucky and find someone great to help me grow into the best version of myselfAs far as I can tell from your website and from my extensive research the reason for the initial appointment is for the psychologist and client to meet and figure out whether it’s a suitable match however based on my childhood I was not given this opportunity I was not even given the time of day by someone who claims to be a professional and one of the top 3 Psychologists in my state. Someone who is meant to help you overcome the restrictions and hurdles of life and help remove stigmas we put on ourselves has decided that based on 10 yes or no questions about my family she fully understands my psychological needs and can’t/won’t help me. I find this arrogant conceited and discriminatory and extremely unethical.They have also now turned their Facebook reviews off after I posted an honest review

It is important that you can connect with your therapist, as it helps you along the journey more and I found to be able to connect well with the people here. If you are hesitating in making a decision to go, don't. These guys will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.

I was desperate and depressed when in a relationship with my de facto partner and on a spousal visa. One day, my friend suggested I go to see my GP to gain a mental health care plan because I could not stop crying. I explained my situation to the doctor and he told me that i was in an abusive relationship. The GP referred me to South Perth Counselling and Psychological Services for support.I never had a history of depression or anxiety and I never had counselling before either so I was a bit hesitant at the beginning.I met a Psychologist Nicole and Counsellor Anne. I always felt very comfortable and protected when I spoke with them.They always listened to me... very warm and provided me with a calm environment, they never pushed me to do anything. Nicole gave me a lot of information I needed including a domestic violence help line & extra support services. Nicole and Anne gently encouraged me to leave my ex partner if and when I was ready. Nicole also introduced me to a migrant lawyer who is helping me with my case now.I was verbally, emotionally, financially and physically abused by my ex partner over the last 18 months. If I didn’t go to see GP, if I didn’t go to counselling... I would still be enduring a horrible toxic environment.I can’t say thanks enough.
